Whilst making the first little diorama of a cartoon style u-boot, I viewed many Youtube videos of great modellers who'd produced some amazing water effects with casting resin. A couple of them made use of a 3d resin printer to produce some needed item for the diorama that couldn't be otherwise purchased.

I was intrigued. My previous exposure to 3d printing was seeing the stuff produced by the FDM printers, mostly for terrain. I then saw the cost and promptly disregarded them. But now my interest was rekindled. This would need some investigation.
