In June 2021, I printed several figures from RN Studio that were representations of the characters from the 6 films released to great acclaim. I had decided to create my own busts from some of these models.

The first bust was that of the White Wizard, Saruman.
Initial version Saruman
Different shades of grey were used to try and break up the model. The inner shirt has a blue tinge to the grey. The overcoat was a subtle warm shade of grey. Eyes were left fully black to give greater contrast with the light colours of the clothes. For the great ball, I wanted to have a mix of colours instead of a single solid colour.

What I needed was a suitable base to display it on. I went with a square, angled plinth from Scale 75 that came with a brass rod to fix the bust to the plinth. However, the rod was wider than the hole I had made in the bottom of the bust. With a pin-vice and a large enough drill, I made the hole in the bust wider. A few touch-ups on the bust, and it was ready to be glued to the plinth.

Army Painter Speedpaints were used for a basecoat, with Army Painter Warpaints used for dry-brushing and highlights. Sometimes, a simple speedpaint coat gives a good enough result, such as on my Zombicide figures. But for these figures, where I want a bit more detail and definition, adding highlights with normal acrylics works better.
