The Classic version zombies
I first began painting the zombies. There's so many of them that there's a temptation to do them all the same. But people aren't like that, so the zombies won't be either.
There are three types of zombies, and then the abomination. Each type has its own peculiarities.
A couple of Fatties, harder to kill than a normal zombie and never appear alone.
A couple of Runners. These zombies have an extra move. The two above appear to be from the same team. I mark the edge of the base with red, so it's easy to identify the runners in the game as the board can become really full of zombies.
And the majority of the zombies are the normal Walker types. Not particularly fast, not particularly dangerous on their own. However, they very rarely are on their own. These two are a bride and groom. Obviously, something went wrong at the wedding. Til death do us part ... or maybe not even then.

Finally, there is the abomination. This is a really nasty zombie, that's very hard to kill and can do really nasty damage to a player. Kill it before it gets near you, or make sure the mission is accomplished before it arrives on the scene.

All the zombies from the classic box. But you know what? There isn't enough. No, really. There isn't enough. Should you run out of a zombie model type during the game, all zombies of that type get an extra activation. This is definitely not good and can seriously damage the health of your survivors.
Luckily there are plenty of zombie box sets available to enhance the game.
This set has different models for runners, walkers and fatties.
And yes, your bum does look big in that.
